COFFEE MAY BOOST ATHLETIC ENDURANCE

COFFEE MAY BOOST ATHLETIC ENDURANCE
The caffeine in a morning cup of coffee could help improve athletic endurance, according to new research.
Simon Higgins, a kinesiology student at the University of Georgia, studied more than 600 scholarly articles on coffee, paying attention to the link between caffeine dose and endurance performance.
He found nine studies in which coffee was used to improve endurance.
In them, between three and seven milligrams of caffeine from coffee per kilogram of body weight, increased endurance performance by an average of 24 percent.
The amount of caffeine in a cup of coffee can vary from 75 mg to more than 150, depending on the variety and how it's roasted and brewed.
